I purchased one of these for myself and one for a granddaughter needing more space for music and files. I love the compactness and downloaded many years of photos and narrative files and due to small nature was able to put in my safety deposit box at the bank. Will simply retrieve now and then and update for permanent record keeping.

This product does its just just fine. However, I was a bit panicked when I tried to plug the Seagate into my Macbook Pro and found out the product was PC specific, a fact I hadn't found listed on the product page. Though I fixed the problem with a quick Google search and some reformatting, I would have appreciated knowing ahead of time instead of being momentarily terrified I'd wasted a couple hundreds of dollars on a product I couldn't use. It's a minuscule problem, but I feel that notably listing the item as PC specific is kind of a no-brainer as far as product details go.

Compact size and nice solid case is what you see on first impression. It's fast enough for backing up files and works well. So far so good.
